The Bruckers pack their Bilenky tandem in two hardshell wheeled cases that fit all airline "checked baggage" specifications. "It might fit in one case if we left out the racks, fenders, tools, water bottles, and foam packing material," said Lynn. On the plane they carried two of the Arkel panniers and two duffle bags. One of the duffle bags contained the other two packed panniers, tent, and sleeping bags; the other their excess clothes. The unwanted stuff went into one of the hardshell cases that they shipped them home from a mailbox store.
